Wide Range Service Grip
Wide Range Service Grip

Description:
The Klein Tools Wide Range Service Grip (Model 16455) is a compact, high-performance solution for pulling a variety of wire types in service and utility applications. Designed to handle steel, ACSR, AAC, and copper conductors, this grip accommodates cable sizes ranging from #6 to 4/0 (0.100" to 0.654"), significantly reducing the need for multiple grip models on the jobsite. Its one-handed actuation design allows for quick and efficient setup, especially in tight or elevated work environments.
Built in the USA from durable steel, the 16455 grip features coarse round-tooth jaws that deliver reliable holding power across a wide range of cable profiles. A spring mechanism automatically closes the grip on the cable, maintaining its initial position and streamlining alignment during pulls. The large handle opening is engineered to fit a broad array of hooks used on hoists, winches, and tackle blocks, making it highly adaptable to various rigging setups. Weighing just 1.5 lb and rated for a maximum safe load of 2,000 lb, this grip offers a balance of strength, portability, and ergonomic efficiency for temporary wire pulling tasks.
