Built tough for linemen, the Chicago® Grip for coated guy wire features an aggressive sawtooth jaw profile that resists build-up from galvanized coatings on guy strand and EHS cables, while its 5" jaw length maximizes surface contact to minimize cable damage. Designed for cable sizes ranging from 0.218" to 0.55" (5.54 mm to 13.97 mm), this grip is manufactured from drop-forged, heat-treated steel for exceptional durability and includes a spring mechanism to maintain initial position on the cable. A locking handle keeps the jaw open for easy placement with a hot stick, and with a maximum safe load of 8,000 lb (3,629 kg), this Made-in-USA tool delivers reliable performance you can trust on the job.
